Mission Context Discovery Packages

Mission Context Discovery Packages are at the core of MissionInsite’s services. Tailored to the unique needs of national and/or regional agencies and their local congregations, our Discovery Packages are useful to virtually all denominational staff members tasked with overseeing and/or implementing congregational development efforts, including church planting, church transformation, mergers, closures, and relocations.

Leveraging simple but powerful tools, GIS technology and the expertise of our dedicated team members, Mission Context Discovery Packages deliver a robust combination of community demographic data coupled with existing congregant information that’s translated into meaningful expressions for planning— all within the framework of a user-friendly, web-based, map-driven application called The MissionInsite System (The MI System).

We offer two Mission Context Discovery Packages—Tier One provides demographics to regional agencies and their congregations and Tier Two broadens to include the Congregant Plot package. Tier One: Basic Community Demographic Package

The Basic Community Demographic Package provides the regional agency and its churches access to The MI System discovery tools and the full range of demographic information built into The MI System. This package includes the following features:

Tier Two: Congregant Plot and Analysis Package

The Congregant Plot and Analysis Package allows congregations to upload congregant data and then plot and analyze how congregants distribute geographically. For churches that choose to add this service, the following additional features will be activated and available to the regional agency, as well:

Advanced System Add-On Options

Custom Plotting—People or Places: Additional features or people can be plotted. For example, a list of churches from other denominations can be geocoded and added to the MI System and displayed in the system. Additionally, with proper permissions, congregants from another denominational agency could be displayed next to actual congregants. Other custom plots might include social service agencies, schools, hospitals, church day school or pre-school students, etc. A fee for loading these features and making changes would be assessed. This is available for both Tier One and Tier Two Packages.

Congregant Mailing List Export: Congregations can choose to add the optional feature of generating congregant mailing lists by geographic area and/or attributes attached to names in the congregant list. For example: suppose a church wanted to mail to all non-members who resided within a particular neighborhood. Simply use the polygon tool to draw a boundary around the neighborhood, plot the attributes desired and export a mailing list. This feature can be activated on an individual church basis for an additional fee. This is available at the Tier Two Congregant Access Option Level.

High Quality Aerial Imagery: While standard imagery is included in the system, regional agencies can choose to add higher quality aerial imagery where it is available. However, there is an additional charge to have access to these photographs. This is available for both Tier One and Tier Two Packages.

Custom Residential Research Services

MissionInsite offers industry leading advanced research services to support church development. Our innovative residential research service sets the standard for next generation information which is mission critical in fast changing population centers. As regional agencies consider new church plants, it is necessary to have a clear picture of anticipated residential development, whether new or redevelopment/infill development. Once the research is completed, the results are built into The MI System for you to access and analyze. This research is priced by the project and is billed on a time and materials basis. This is available for both Tier One and Tier Two Packages.
